Building Systems to Manage ADHD

Am I Ever Going to Have a Consistent Routine?

You might be struggle to keep the dishes clean. Or it’s that giant pile of laundry that neighborhood kids want to dive into like autumn leaves. Maybe it’s keeping up with school or work deadlines that feels impossible until right before it will be considered late. Every time you create a new plan there’s a sense of accomplishment and motivation that feels so good, for about a week – maybe less. Then comes the feeling of failure that once again you weren’t able to keep up with something that sounded so easy when it was new and exciting.

Finding Balance Between What Works and What Feels Good

You want to be kind to future you and go to bed early so you can get a jump on that new morning routine, but present you wants to watch another episode of Netflix. We’ll work together to find routines and systems that:

·        Fit how you really live

·        Don’t deprive you of the things that feel good

·        Feel manageable

·        Take a reasonable amount of time in your day

What Happens Next?

We’ll meet for your initial intake session to get a sense of what your needs are & where I can help. I’m excited to help clients who want to proactively find real solutions to the barriers that their symptoms present. What we process in therapy is 100% confidential. You are in the drivers seat, I am here to help navigate. This means you choose the pace, the topics, and what feels right and reasonable for you. My job to challenge you to step outside your comfort zone a little at a time to try things that might sound difficult at first, but allow you to feel a stronger sense of satisfaction with your abilities and self.

If you want to build systems that work for your life, I’d love to help you get there.
