Online Counseling In Maryland

I help people with ADHD to find the balance between hyper fixation and “my brain is going so fast I don’t know how to get off the couch anymore”.

My clients struggle like you do. Despite being smart, caring, and creative, life gets hard.

When they first come in they often feel overwhelmed by the daily grind of keeping up with work, home, relationships, friends, family, pets, and hobbies. Routine is a scary and confining word that brings back the hundreds of “perfect” routines that have been tried and abandoned over the years. It feels like they’ll never build the habits to keep things moving consistently.

They worry that all their little quirks, like forgetting to answer text messages, procrastinating until 2 hours before a deadline, or losing their phone every 5 minutes, are hurting their relationships and their reputation at work. Shame has become a daily battle and they feel they need to hide these tendencies.

Their fear of never getting into the “right” habits prevents them from finding systems that truly work for them. Trying to fit into a box that wasn’t made for them has never worked before, but this time – THIS TIME – it just might. After the third day of “I’ll get back to it tomorrow” they find once again that a new habit, or routine, or schedule has not suddenly turned them into a new person.

Before they came to see me, they thought that life just was meant to be this hard.

They didn’t believe that systems that fit their lifestyle were possible. And they thought they’d always feel this sense of shame about not meeting a standard that they’d never expect anyone else to live up to.

Like my clients you deserve to find flexibility in your routines, honoring both your needs and your desires.

Finding structures that work for you is not out of reach.

bUILDING SYSTEMS

Creating systems that work with your brain instead of against it is my specialty. I want to help you create habits that actually work and adapt to your life rather than another set of steps that you follow for a few days or weeks.

adhd & sHAME

Many of the symptoms of ADHD are also associated with "laziness" or "not caring" and over time it can feel like those labels are being applied to the person rather than the action. I want to help you find peace with your symptoms and confidence in your abilities.

If you want to feel confident in managing your ADHD symptoms, I'd love to help.
